  2. Although a poor credit mortgage offers people with damaged credit history a good financial option, such loans have high interest rate compared to conventional loans. The lender can also increase the rate for minor payment lapses, or worse, seize your property as collateral. So once you get the loan, make sure you can fully commit to meeting the payments on time or you'll be making your financial situation even worse.
